I just love the comment: “It’s almost like Obama is trying to remake America into his own image.” It reminds me of the scripture referring to the image of the beast that is talked about in Revelation chapter 13. I think Obama has some explaining to do. But, I don’t think we’ll hear about it through our national media outlets. I believe Obama is trying to avoid another round of controversy with the Catholics because of his stance on abortion.
The Washington Times - President Obama is distancing himself from the National Day of Prayer by nixing a formal early morning service and not attending a large Catholic prayer breakfast the next morning.
All Mr. Obama will do for the National Day of Prayer, which is Thursday, is sign a proclamation honoring the day, which originated in 1952 when Congress set aside the first Thursday in May for the observance. Read the rest of this entry »
What are Obama’s true colors? He has made good on his promise to visit and give a speech to a predominately Muslim country in the first 100 days of office, yet he hasn’t gone to church. It makes me wonder…

President Obama has not attended church services on any of the 11 Sundays since he took office, despite his pledge to find a new church after quitting Trinity United nearly a year ago because of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s incendiary rhetoric. Read the rest of this entry »
Back in mid January I was working in Israel for a week. This was during the time of the full blown Gaza war. I was staying in Tel Aviv which is just north of Jaffa. I did go into Jerusalem as well, but I wanted to highlight this interesting event that happened in Jaffa. To set the stage, I’ll give a little info regarding Jaffa. Jaffa today is known as a location in which there is a high population of Israeli Arab’s. Historically, Jaffa or Joppa (in the Bible) is an ancient port city believed to be one of the oldest in the world. Jaffa is mentioned four times in the Bible, as one of the cities given to the Tribe of Dan (Book of Joshua 19:46), as port-of-entry for the cedars of Lebanon for Solomon’s Temple (2 Chronicles 2:16), as the place whence the prophet Jonah embarked for Tarshish (Book of Jonah 1:3) and as port-of-entry for the cedars of Lebanon for the Second Temple of Jerusalem (Book of Ezra 3:7). So, you can understand my desire to get a first hand glimpse at this ancient city.
When I arrived in Jaffa there was quite a bit of police activity taking place with helicopters spotlighting the crowds and police vehicles blocking the streets with lights flashing. I didn’t know what was going on. I found out that a anti-war protest was starting. It was a fairly tense scene during wartime. What you will see below are some videos of the war protest with me right in the middle of it. This was a non-violent protest, but I had the feeling that things could have gotten out of hand at any time. I left the protest when the crowds entered deep into Jaffa on an unlit and very dark street. In one of the videos the Israeli Arab’s were chanting a phrase (translated into English) that said, “By blood and fire, we shall free Palestine!” Now, again we can ask, “Who is it that are the peaceful protesters in Israel?”
Tuesday’s violent riots in Umm el Fahm and the debate which accompanied them are emblematic of one of the greatest challenges facing not only Israel, but much of the Western world today. Far right Jewish Israeli political activists held a peaceful demonstration in the radical Arab-Islamist dominated city of Umm el Fahm in the Galilee under heavy police protection. Thousands of Arab Israelis supported by far left Jewish Israeli political activists reacted with violent rioting. And the media blamed the violence on the peaceful Jewish Israeli demonstrators. http://www.JewishWorldReview.com | How appropriate that Barack Obama featured Aretha Franklin in his Inaugural festivities since her signature song is “Respect.” Literally from the moment she finished belting out “My Country ‘Tis of Thee” on Jan. 20, the new president has been conveying his “respect” the Muslim world. Unfortunately, the way he practices it seems to be spelled S-U-B-M-I-S-S-I-O-N.
Several observers have noted in recent days that Mr. Obama’s outreach to the Muslim world is not only defensive and apologetic. It explicitly embraces a narrative that is factually erroneous and deprecating to his own country. Read the rest of this entry »
What is so very concerning about this move by Obama is in what he reportedly said during his interview. Obama called for a new partnership with the Muslim world “based on mutual respect and mutual interest.” What mutual interest can he be talking about? We know what is in the best interest in the Muslim mindset is for all to submit to Islam — to cave in to their political, religious, economical, and social way of life. This is called Dhimmitude, in other words the status of Non-Muslim minorities under Islamic rule.
CAIRO, Egypt (AP) - President Barack Obama on Tuesday chose an Arabic satellite TV network for his first formal television interview as president, delivering a message to the Muslim world that “Americans are not your enemy.”
The interview underscored Obama’s commitment to repair relations with the Muslim world that have suffered under the previous administration.
The president expressed an intention to engage the Middle East immediately and his new envoy to the region, former Sen. George J. Mitchell, was expected to arrived in Egypt on Tuesday for a visit that will also take him to Israel, the West Bank, Jordan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia.
“My job to the Muslim world is to communicate that the Americans are not your enemy,” Obama told the Saudi-owned, Dubai-based Al-Arabiya news channel. Read the rest of this entry »
American patriotism at its finest! I’m not sure what to say here. How could the American people not see that Obama is sympathetic to middle eastern idealism.
As special envoy to the Middle East, George Mitchell heads off to the region to begin work on negotiating a cease fire between Israel and the Palestinians, President Obama has sat for his first formal TV interview with the Arabic cable TV network Al-Arabiya, ABC News has learned.
The interview was taped this evening and is set to air at 11 pm ET, as Mitchell is in the air and on his way to the region.
Based in Dubai, Al-Arabiya estimates that it has a potential audience exceeding 23 million in the Gulf region.
This is amazing! Don’t you think other countries might be enticed to try and take of piece of this pie? Joel Rosenberg has written on a fictional book (The Last Jihad) and declared this very discovery - first natural gas and then oil. We know his track record at somehow “predicting” upcoming events that have come true. This is wild. Let’s keep a very watchful eye on this one as well…
A historic natural gas reservoir found offshore from Haifa is poised to meet Israel’s natural gas demand for about 15 years and reduce the country’s dependence on gas imports from Egypt and offshore from Gaza.
The discovery of the natural gas field 90 km. offshore from Haifa, known as Tamar, was made by a US-Israel consortium including the Delek Group, through its subsidiaries Delek Drilling and Avner Oil Exploration, Isramco Negev 2, Dor Gas Exploration and US oil operator Noble Energy Inc.
Preliminary estimates indicate that the Tamar field might contain over 88 billion cubic meters of gas. Read the rest of this entry »
BreitBart.com - CAIRO, Egypt (AP) - Al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden urged Muslims to launch a jihad against Israel and condemned Arab governments as allies of the Jewish state in a new message aimed at harnessing anger in the Mideast over the Gaza offensive.
Bin Laden spoke in an audiotape posted Wednesday on Islamic militant Web sites where al-Qaida usually issues its messages. It was his first tape since May and came nearly three weeks after Israel started its campaign against Gaza’s militant Hamas rulers. Read the rest of this entry »
Guardian.co.uk - The incoming Obama administration is prepared to abandon George Bush’s doctrine of isolating Hamas by establishing a channel to the Islamist organisation, sources close to the transition team say.
The move to open contacts with Hamas, which could be initiated through the US intelligence services, would represent a definitive break with the Bush presidency’s ostracising of the group. The state department has designated Hamas a terrorist organisation, and in 2006 Congress passed a law banning US financial aid to the group. Read the rest of this entry »
